Introduction

WHMCS API uses Representational State Transfer (REST) principles and its design centers on resources. It expects standard HTTP verbs like GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE and returns HTTP response codes and JSON-encoded responses.

Prerequisites

To get started with the API, make sure that your system is running at least WHMCS 9.0.0. You must also have created the following items in your WHMCS installation:

  • At least one product group.
  • At least one product.
  • At least one user account.

Supported Languages

This document's examples use cURL, but you can make the API calls in any programming language.
